Most of us know that the skin on our face is the most
sensitive skin on our bodies. But the skin around our eyes is the most
sensitive of the most sensitive. The delicate skin underneath the eyes is so
thin and sensitive, and that is the reason why it is also the first spot on the
face to show signs of aging. Frequently, this where peoples first wrinkles will
show up in the form of little crow’s feet at the eyes corners. Most people wish
to delay the onset of aging as long as possible. The proper eye care regime can
help delay the onset of these signs of aging for as long as possible.
The first thing you should be doing to maintain the skin
around your eyes is to be removing the makeup around your eyes in the evening
with a specifically formulated eye makeup remover. These are much gentler than
many of the full face makeup removers or facial cleansers on the market. Also,
don’t try to use soap to take off the makeup around your eyes. Using one of
these specifically designed products limits the damage that is being done to
that delicate skin and prolongs its life.
Secondly, use an eye cream or gel in the mornings and
evenings. You want something designed to help maintain elasticity in that
delicate skin. You want to keep that skin moisturized and supple throughout the
day and night, and this will help to keep it from losing its youthful vigor and
delay the onset of those dreaded crow’s feet for as long as possible. For added benefit, use an eye cream that has
an SPF factor included in it. The sun is extremely damaging to all our skin,
but as a result of the skin in that area being so thin, it takes an even
harsher punishment from the sun than perhaps other parts do.
The skin around our eyes is very delicate and can be very
easily weakened and damaged. If proper
care is taken however, it will help us maintain a youthful appearance much
longer than if we simply let time take its course. The use of an eye makeup
removal product, as well as a moisturizing eye cream with a sun protection
factor built in will go a long way to ensure our eyes stay youthful looking for
as long as possible.
