Plastic Surgery and Moms
Tuesday, April 29, 2008
When you think of someone having plastic surgery, you think of a rich young woman in her twenty’s, but according to a survey conducted in 2004, there was roughly a third of the people there who contemplated getting plastic surgery and were living in a household that has an income less than $30,000 – a lot of these were stay at home moms.
Many of the moms in America are looking to plastic surgery to get what is known s a “mommy makeover”. This involves different types of procedures including a tummy tuck, face lift, breast implants and liposuction to get back to their pre-pregnancy selves or better.
Many experts believe that all the hype about plastic surgery is caused by the media and the celebrities getting the procedures done. Physicians are trying to push America to conducting healthier ways of becoming “beautiful”, instead of resorting to the easier, yet expensive, way out. Instead of looking to liposuction, women could exercise and eat right. The procedure would last for only so long if you continue eating the way that pushed you to get liposuction in the first place.
The number of moms looking to get plastic surgery continues to rise throughout America.
